The project, worth some 5.82 Million Dirhams ($697k), is part of Morocco’s efforts to promote sports and social activities among citizens, mainly the youth, women and children.
The complex includes mini-foot, volley -ball, basketball and Hand-ball fields, locker rooms and a multi-disciplinary hall for aerobics and martial arts.
The project also includes child game room, an outdoor play field, a nursery, a youth space, a cafeteria, shops and administrative facilities.
The Sovereign was also given, on this occasion, detailed explanations on the building of another sports and social complex in the prefecture of Moulay Rachid (Casablanca).
These projects are part of a strategy to build 100 complexes by the end of 2010 and 1,000 by 2016.
