HM the king receives new dean of Naciria Islamic religious school

Casablanca - HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, on Friday received Sheikh Redouane Ben Sheikh Benaceur Naciri, the new dean of the Naciria Zaouia (Islamic religious school) in Tamagrout (southeastern Morocco).

Founded at the beginning of the Alawite dynasty, the Tariqah Naciria has played an important role in the promotion of the Sunnah (prophet's tradition) and theology, mainly through its famous library in Tamagrout, which contains nearly 6,000 manuscripts.      

    During this audience, which was attended by Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Redouane Ben Sheikh Benaceur Naciri extended to HM the King a message of gratitude on behalf of the followers of the zaouia Naciria.
