The ceremony began with verses of the Holy Quran recited by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan.
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan then made an address in which he expressed, on his own behalf and on behalf of her sister HRH Princess Lalla Khadija and all their classmates, his great honour and immense joy with the solicitude of HM the King for this ceremony.
"We celebrate through this ceremony the end of the 5th year of primary school (CM2) after having passed the exams that will enable us to reach a higher level," said HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, noting that this result is the fruit of hard work and strong resolve.
"We learned, Your Majesty, that wisdom, all wisdom, lies in the will and perseverance, inspired in this by your continued action in the service of the country and the loyal Moroccan people, and that our success is the result that would not have come to maturity without your solicitude, through your careful monitoring and your wise guidance," HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan said.
His Royal Highness asked the Almighty to grant HM the King health and long life and to make the Sovereign pleased with of all members of the royal family.
Therafter, HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and HRH Princess Lalla Khadija and their classmates performed songs and artistic shows presented in Arabic, French, Spanish and English.
The director of the School, Aziz El Houcine, made an address in which he expressed pride and joy with HM the King's solicitude for the ceremony.
He said that the passage of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan to the 6th year is the starting point of a new stage in the curriculum of His Royal Highness.
Aziz El Houcine also expressed, on behalf of all the teaching staff, warm congratulations to HM the King for the excellent results achieved by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and HRH Princess Lalla Khadija during the school year 2012-2013.
HM the King then presented the Award of Excellence and the Royal School Award to HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan.
The Sovereign also handed various awards to the prince's classmates.
