HM the King expressed to Abu Sahmin his warmest congratulations and best wishes for "every success in his crucial mission in the service of the brotherly Libyan people at a key moment in the history of the country, and to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people for further progress and prosperity in unity, security and stability."
The Sovereign paid tribute to the involvement of all the components of the Libyan people and its political bodies in this major national event, welcoming "the strong determination they have shown for the completion of the building of democracy on the basis of the rule of law and legitimate institutions."
He also expressed the Kingdom's support for all efforts and initiatives undertaken to address the political, security and social challenges and achieve comprehensive development.
The Sovereign expressed his "great pride in strong brotherhood ties, effective solidarity and fruitful cooperation between our two brotherly peoples" and "their common historical and civilizational heritage."
"This heritage will get further consolidated thanks to our two countries' keenness to move forward in promoting these relationships in order to raise them to an even higher level, in their mutual interest, in order to contribute to the fulfilment of the aspirations of the peoples of the five Maghreb Union countries for unity, complementarity and integrity, and to consolidate their standing regionally and internationally," HM the King said.
