HM the King inaugurated an access road to the Lahouassi village through Aoufous zaouiate (5.7 km) and launched the building works of a road between the Ferkla Assoufla commune and Ksour Ait Benamar and Ktaa Loued (5 km) and another one linking the Tinjdad town to Ksour Toughach (16.1 km).
Part of the territorial upgrading program (PMAT) of the national initiative for human development, these projects, worth 20.2 million dirhams, will contribute to the socio-economic development of the region by facilitating the access of people living in the twelve villages which have basic infrastructure and social services (schools, health centers..), and enabling the population to market local products.
Errachidia's territorial upgrading program benefited 18 rural communes and seeks to improve the living conditions of people in landlocked areas, and reduce differences concerning access to equipment and community-based services.
Totaling 177.7 million dirhams, the program's provincial aspect provides for actions meant to strengthen health infrastructure, reduce school dropout rate, develop an electric and drinking water network, and open up mountainous regions.
It also provides for building six structures, 104 kilometers of roads, five houses for physicians and nurses and 238 houses for teachers, and linking 29 villages to the electric network and 32 villages to the drinking water network.
These actions are aimed at promoting income-generating jobs (AGR), micro-projects, and cooperatives.
HM the King was also given details of the AGR projects which concern beekeeping, "Demmane" ewe breeding, local products (dates, henna, cumin), traditional couscous, and decoration fossils.
