HRH Princess Lalla Salma arrives in Abidjan to take part in gala dinner of Children of Africa Foundation

Abidjan - HRH Princess Lalla Salma, Chairwoman of the Lalla Salma Foundation for Cancer Prevention and Treatment, who is the guest of honor of President of the Children of Africa Foundation and First Lady of Côte d' Ivoire, Dominique Ouattara, arrived Friday afternoon in Abidjan to take part in the charity gala dinner to raise funds for the equipment of the Mother and Child Hospital in Bingerville (a suburb of Abidjan).

   On her arrival at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport, HRH Princess Lalla Salma was welcomed by President of the Children of Africa Foundation Dominique Ouattara, several members of the Ivorian government, Morocco's ambassador in Abidjan, Mustapha Jebari, as well as other personalities.

   This gala dinner is the second of its kind after the first organized in February 2012 by the Foundation for the collection of funds for the construction of the facility dedicated to the Mother and Child hospital in Bingerville (suburb of Abidjan).

   The Mother and Child Hospital, the first of its kind in Cote d'Ivoire and West Africa, is intended to address maternal and infant mortality which is steadily increasing in the country.
