In this message, HM the King extends to Gnassingbé his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes of health, happiness and success in fulfilling his lofty mission to serve the brotherly Togolese people.

 The sovereign also seized this occasion to laud the democratic choice of the Togolese people whom, "through renewing their trust in you, have clearly expressed their recognition and esteem for the main political, economic and social achievements made under your insightful leadership."  

 HM the King also commended the excellent relations of fruitful cooperation and active solidarity between the two countries and assured the Togolese president of his firm determination to continue joint action to foster these relations in all areas.
