On this occasion, His Royal Highness read the message addressed by HM King Mohammed VI to Expo 2015, wherein the Sovereign underlined that through Morocco's participation in Expo Milano 2015, "our country is reaffirming its commitment to contribute to addressing major global challenges and dealing with them resolutely and realistically, thus preparing the ground for effectively confronting current and future challenges".

   "It is the goal targeted by Expo Milano 2015 through its core theme 'Feeding the planet, energy for Life", HM the King said, adding that since 2008, "I instructed the Government to launch the Green Morocco Plan as a national strategy designed to achieve effective agriculture development, making agriculture one of the main drivers of the nation's economy".

   The Sovereign reiterated that Morocco, "committed to an open policy and therefore firmly believes in the values of solidarity and cooperation, spares no effort to share its experience with its regional and African partners".

   Upon Her arrival at the site of Expo-2015, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa was greeted by several Italian and Moroccan figures, notably Bruno Antonio Pasquino, Commissioner General of Expo 2015. 

   After the flag-raising ceremony of Moroccan and Italian flags to the sound of the national anthems of both countries, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa officially inaugurated the Moroccan pavilion.
