Upon her arrival at the prestigious Berlin exhibition center where the ceremony took place, Her Royal Highness was welcomed by German Minister of Food and Agriculture Christian Schmidt, Berlin Mayor Michael Muller and Director General of Messe Berlin, Christian Goke.
During this ceremony, Her Royal Highness read the message addressed by HM King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the official launch of the 81st International Green Week Berlin, the largest fair in the world for food and agriculture.
The ceremony organized by Morocco at the opening of the event was marked by a great show that highlights the Kingdom in its splendor, richness and diversity.
Around three artistic murals: "Morocco welcomes you", "the song of the earth" and "a kingdom of values", this show was an invitation to travel and discover plural Morocco with its values, traditions, music and colors.
The 2016 edition of International Green Week Berlin marks the 49th participation of Morocco in this key event. The Kingdom participated for the first time at this fair in 1960. It was then the first African country to take part in this major event since its launch in 1926.
Morocco's participation in this edition focuses on local products which benefit from a specific promotion strategy and a central place within the framework of the "Green Morocco Plan", launched in 2008 to modernize and promote the development of the national agricultural sector.
The organizers of the International Green Week and the German Agriculture Minister highly praised Morocco's regular participation at the Berlin fair, stressing that granting the kingdom the status of partner country reflects the excellent relations between Rabat and Berlin.
Each year the International Green Week Berlin attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors and exhibitors from around the world.
This event offers the participating countries an excellent opportunity to establish new business partnerships, increase agricultural exports and strengthen their image and reputation internationally.
