HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa also chaired the signing ceremony of an agreement which provides for supporting the development of an eco-epidemiological surveillance system in the region of Casablanca for the 2016-2018 period.
The Qualit’Air Pact for a solidarity-based action in favor of climate was signed by President Delegate of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environment Protection Lahoucine Tijani, President of the General Confederation of Morocco’s Employers (CGEM) Miriem Bensalah Chaqroun, Managing Director of "La Voix Express" Mohammed Talal, Managing Director of "Gharb Papier et Carton" Mounir El Bari, President of the Professional Cement Manufacturers Association Mohammed Ghaibi, CEO of Compagnie de Transports au Maroc (CTM) Ezzoubeir Errhaimini, Managing Director of Oulmès Abdelkhalek El Youbi, Managing Director of Afriquia Gaz Taoufiq Hamoumi, Chairman of Managem Imad Toumi, President of the Federation of Tourist Transport Othman Cherif Alami and CEO of the National Company of Transports and Logistic (SNTL) Mohamed Benouda
This initiative of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection aims to generalize the tools which allow for the measurement of greenhouse gas emissions (GES) and the voluntary compensation of the inevitable emissions.
The second agreement related to supporting the development of an eco-epidemiological surveillance system was signed by President Delegate of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environment Protection Lahoucine Tijani, Health Minister El Houssaine Louardi, Minister Delegate in Charge of Environment Hakima El Haite, Minister Delegate in Charge of Water Charafat Afailal, President of the Casablanca-Settat region Mustapha Bakkoury and Director of the National Meteorology Abdellah Mokssit.
The ceremony was marked by screening a documentary on Qualit’Air, which presents all actions and activities of the Foundation.
On this occasion, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa posed for a souvenir photo with the signatories of the pact and the agreement.
Upon her arrival in the Mohammed VI Conference Center, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa was welcomed by President Delegate of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environment Protection Lahoucine Tijani, before being greeted by Minister Delegate in charge of Environment, the Wali of the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region Abdelouafi Laftit, President of Rabat-Sale-Kenitra Council Abdessamad Sekkal, Governor of the prefecture of Skheirat-Temara Younes Al Kasimi, President of the prefectural council of Sekhirat-Temara Zouhair Zemzami, President of the municipal council of Sekhirat Moulay Ahmed Fakihi and CGEM president.
Upon her entrance to the plenary hall of the Mohammed VI Conference Center, Her Royal Highness was greeted by Equipment, Transports and Logistic Minister Aziz Rebbah and Minister Delegate in Charge of Water Charafat Afilal.
