In addition to tirelessly fighting for environment protection and for lasting development, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa is active and committed for Morocco's lowest social groups.
Efforts made by HRH the Princess and initiatives in the field of environment protection earned her to be named in 2007 UN ambassador for the Euro-Mediterranean regional environment program, in recognition for the Princess commitment for environment preservation, as chairwoman of the Mohammed VI Foundation for environment protection.
In addition to ecology activities, HRH the Princess is also active in social actions targeting young impoverished, through the association SOS Villages enfants.
The princess chairs, in the same vein, several non-governmental organizations geared to protecting children in a difficult situation.
Lalla Hasnaa's birthday coincides this year with the holding in Marrakech of the 22nd Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP22), in which Her Royal Highness has been actively involved.
