"I have brought a message of gratitude and appreciation from the Executive Board of UNICEF to your Royal Highness for your continued commitment to social and humanitarian action and for your dedication to the defense of human rights. This has made it possible to transform the lives of millions of Moroccan children and young people," said Hilale on Saturday in Marrakech at the closing ceremony of the 16th National Congress of the Child’s Rights chaired by HRH Princess Lalla Meryem, Chairwoman of the National Observatory of the Child’s Rights (ONDE).
"Your concern has recently expanded to the African continent through your initiative African Cities without Street Children," he pointed out.
"The National Observatory of the Child’s Rights is an accelerator for the implementation of Morocco’s commitments within the Convention of the rights of the child," he added.
"The Parliament of the Moroccan child is a model of generational, participatory, inclusive and preparatory democracy of the Moroccan citizen of tomorrow", Hilale noted, adding that the appointment of Her Royal Highness as an Ambassador of good will of the UNESCO, in recognition of her commitment to the promotion of children's education, as well as the video message of UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore at this celebration "reflect the international humanitarian influence of your Royal Highness".
The United Nations member states have just reaffirmed in New York last Wednesday on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Convention, "their resolute determination so that every child can enjoy all his rights and make his dreams come true in a world of peace, harmony, tolerance and hope ", he said.
"The future of humanity will depend on the world we are preparing for the children of today, who will be the adults of tomorrow," he pointed out.
