The minister indicated that a total of 113,000 companies have declared a temporary work stoppage since 15 March due to the Covid-19 crisis, noting that all employees will return to work and companies will resume operations as soon as the crisis ends.
Fully covered by the special Fund for the management of the coronavirus pandemic, this indemnity concerns employees declared to the CNSS for the month of February 2020, in temporary work stoppage and belonging to companies in difficulty. These employees will also continue to benefit, in accordance with the provisions in force, from family allowances and compulsory health insurance benefits.
The CNSS had set next Friday as the last deadline for employers affiliated to the Fund to make the declarations of workers on temporary stoppage in order to benefit, before April 6, from the fixed indemnity of MAD 1,000 for the month of March.
After this date, no declaration of work stoppage for the month of March 2020 would be possible, it pointed out.
Decided with the aim of preserving the purchasing power of employees, the net monthly fixed compensation is as follows: MAD1,000 for the month of March and MAD2,000 for the months of April, May and June.
This indemnity, intended for employees declared to the CNSS for the month of February 2020, in temporary work stoppage and belonging to companies in difficulty, is "totally" covered by the special Fund set up pursuant to the High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI.
