The patient was admitted to Saniat Rmel Hospital on 20 March, after she and her husband tested positive for Covid-19 immediately after returning to Morocco from a trip abroad.

What is reassuring in this case is that the patient, who is 68 years old and suffering from a chronic disease, reacted well to the treatment administered, said the director of Saniat Rmel Hospital, Dr. Mohamed Khassal, in a statement to MAP.

 This case of recovery in Tetouan reflects the efforts made by the medical and paramedical teams at the Saniat Rmel Hospital, Dr Khassal added, noting that this case encourages all the teams to put in more effort and sacrifice.

 In addition, the hospital director said that other cases of confirmed coronavirus infection are on the mend and are expected to be discharged from the hospital in the coming days.

This case announced in Tetouan is the second one of recovery in the region of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, where the number of confirmed cases has reached, until 1 p.m. this Thursday, a total of 45.
