In a press release, the DGSN said that the security operations carried out to impose the application of the measures of the state of emergency, since the date of its declaration by the public authorities, resulted in the arrest of a total 28,701 individuals in all of the Kingdom's cities, including 15,545 who were brought before the public prosecution after the police custody procedure.
These arrests are distributed according to police prefectures and regional and provincial police services as follows: Casablanca police prefecture (4,331), Rabat police prefecture (3,767), Kenitra police prefecture (3,346), Oujda police prefecture (2.904), Marrakech police prefecture (2.589), Agadir police prefecture (2.288), Salé provincial police (2,050), Beni Mellal police prefecture (1,041), Fez police prefecture (994), Meknes police prefecture (931), Tétouan police prefecture (647), provincial police of Ouarzazate (597), provincial police of El Jadida (635), Settat police prefecture (556), provincial police of Errachidia (448), Tangier police prefecture (564), Laayoune police prefecture (420), provincial police of Safi (261), regional police of Taza (207) and regional police of Al Hoceima (125).
The DGSN ensured, in this context, that its services will continue to intensify control operations at the level of all cities and to coordinate their interventions with the various public authorities with a view to imposing the strict and firm application of the state of emergency to guarantee the health security of all citizens.
