According to a statement from National Police (DGSN), the man posted a video footage on an instant messaging application in which he makes insultive remarks and threatens to commit a crime against policemen in the city of Oued Zem, who had just fined him following a traffic violation.

Investigations led to the arrest of the suspect who was with his sister on the public road while violating health emergency rules, the source added.

Search carried out at his home led to the seizure of the sharp construction tools that the suspect was showing while calling for violence against policemen in the video tape.

The two people were placed on custody, while investigations are underway under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, the source pointed out.
