The number of recovered Covid-19 patients in the region has reached 26, while 11 people died of coronavirus complications, the source added in a fresh update.

According to the same source, 151 cases were admitted at the hospitals of Tangier and Assila, 51 at Tetouan's provincial hospital, 13 in Al Hoceima and 12 in Larache.

No Covid-19 case has been reported so far in the province of Chefchaouen.

According to the ministry of Health, nearly 10.1% of the Covid-19 cases registered in Morocco were reported in the region of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima.

A total of 259 new cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) were confirmed in Morocco over the past 24 hours until Thursday at 6 p.m., bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases in the Kingdom to 2,283.
