Since the start of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, 17 patients have recovered in Salé, 37 in Skhirat-Temara, 35 in Rabat, 4 in Khemisset and 9 in Kenitra.
No new Covid-19 case has been reported in the region since Sunday night, the source said, adding that the number of confirmed cases stands at 273.
Regarding the geographical spread of the disease, the city of Rabat is the worst-hit with 117 cases, ahead of Skhirat-Temara (78), Salé (48), Kenitra (22), Khemisset (7) and Sidi Slimane (1), while no case has been reported so far in the province of Sidi Kacem.
Ten people died in the region of coronavirus complications, including 5 in Rabat, 3 in Salé, 1 person in Kenitra and another one in Skhirat-Temara.
A total of 135 new cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) were confirmed in Morocco until Monday at 10 a.m., bringing the total number of covid-19 cases in the kingdom to 2,990, the ministry of Health said.
