According to the same source, 293 patients are hospitalized in the prefecture of Tangier-Assilah, 57 in Tetouan, 62 in Larache, 13 in Al Hoceima and 1 case in Ouezzane.

No case of the virus has been reported so far in the province of Chefchaouen.

The number of fatalities in the region due to coronavirus complications stands at 15, including 8 in Tangier-Assilah, 6 in Tetouan and 1 in Larache, it said, adding that 51 people have recovered from the disease.

A total of 140 new cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) were confirmed in Morocco until Tuesday at 10 a.m., bringing the total number of covid-19 cases in the kingdom to 3,186, the ministry of Health said.
