The national police (DGSN) said Tuesday in a statement that since the state of health emergency was declared by the public authorities, a total of 81,489 people have been arrested in all cities of the Kingdom, of which 42,967 have been referred to the competent prosecutors after the procedure of police custody.
These arrests were made in the prefectures of Casablanca (10,805), Rabat (10,292), Kenitra (9,347), Marrakech (7,415), Oujda (6,643), Agadir (4,967), Tetouan (4,592), Salé (4,266), Meknes (4,163), Beni Mellal (3,392), Tangier (2.818), Fez (2.542), El Jadida (2,366), Settat (2,150), Ouarzazate (1,485), Laayoune (1,485), Taza (911), Errachidia (867), Safi (705) and Al Hoceima (278).
Security services will continue to reinforce control operations in all the Moroccan cities and coordinate their interventions with the various public authorities with a view to ensuring the strict implementation of the health emergency rules, the DGSN stressed.
