A total of 56 new recoveries have been recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cured cases from the new coronavirus (Covid-19) to 984, he noted, stressing that the recovery rate reached 22,2%.
The death toll rose to 170 after two new deaths were announced, he said, reporting a 3.8% death rate.
Of the 102 new confirmed cases, 71 were detected via medical monitoring of contact persons, he noted, adding that a total of 8,810 contact persons are still under medical surveillance.
