In an update on Thursday, the provincial delegation said that the person who posted this video and whose Covid-19 test results were negative, benefited during his stay from healthy meals and the necessary medical care as evidenced by his medical record.
Admitted to the hospital for medical examination, on April 22, for chest pains, this individual was hospitalized and confined to undergo laboratory testing after the medical personnel suspected his infection with the coronavirus, said the same source.
According to the press release, the person concerned agreed to stay in the hospital where a room was reserved for him in the isolation ward and his sample was sent to the laboratory at 11:00 p.m. in the same day.
"The individual did not accept the delay in the results of the Covid-19 screening tests until the evening of April 28, which is beyond our control, and asked the health personnel to leave the hospital. This request was refused given its incompatibility with the recommended health security measures," said the same source.
When he was temporarily transported to another room to disinfect his room and all the ward, the patient infiltrated one of the rooms under construction and filmed this video which has nothing to do with the reality and does not reflect the efforts made to upgrade the medical services and isolation rooms, said the delegation. "What seems curious is that immediately after his return to his room, he released another video in which he expressed his admiration for the hospital and the services offered".
While condemning this act which undermines efforts made by the health staff, the delegation affirms that it reserves for itself the right to resort to justice to take the necessary measures ensured by the law.
