The Moroccan authorities have been able to act boldly and swiftly on vital issues related to the pandemic, the daily stressed, assuring that the Kingdom has even anticipated the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) on Covid-19.
If the UN agency recommended, on April 6, the use of masks for patients or those who care for patients at home, Morocco ordered the same day the obligation to wear masks in the public space as of April 7, noted the publication.
A total of 160 million masks have been distributed in the different regions of the Kingdom, with daily production reaching 8 million units, wrote "El Pais", specifying that the masks are now available everywhere with a single, subsidized price.
To achieve this goal, Morocco has reoriented the production of several textile industries to make millions of masks, noted the Spanish daily.
Thanks to these measures to deal with the new coronavirus, "Morocco (...) has quickly placed itself at the forefront of the world" in the fight against this pandemic, concluded "El Pais".
