The new cases were registered in Fez (29), Moulay Yaacoub (1) and Taounate (1).

Fez remains the hardest hit with 486 cases, followed by Meknes (115), Taza (55), Ifrane (20), Sefrou (14), Taounate (9), Moulay Yaacoub (6) and El Hajeb (2), while no covid-19 case has been reported so far in the province of Boulemane.

According to the same source, 14 new recoveries were reported over the same period, which rises the number of recovered Covid-19 patients to 321, while the number of fatalities stands at 26.

A total of 189 new cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) were confirmed in Morocco over the past 24 hours until Wednesday at 4 p.m., bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases in the Kingdom to 5,408.
