The new cases were registered in Fez (3), Sefrou (3) and Meknes (2).

Fez remains the worst hit in the region with 501 cases, ahead of Meknes (117), Taza (55), Ifrane (20), Sefrou (17), Taounate (10), Moulay Yaacoub (7) and El Hajeb (2), while no covid-19 case has been reported so far in the province of Boulemane.

Seven new recoveries were reported over the given period, which rises the number of recovered Covid-19 patients in the region to 352, while the number of fatalities stands at 26.

A total of 163 new cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) were confirmed in Morocco over the past 24 hours until Friday at 4 p.m., bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases in the Kingdom to 5,711.
