The initial elements of the investigation show that a police officer in charge of applying the measures of the state of health emergency subjected an individual to control while he was trying to enter the old medina on board a scooter, said the national police (DGSN) in a statement, specifying that the individual in question did not have an exceptional movement authorization.

 The suspect refused to comply, exposing the police officer to physical violence, along with his father who arrived at the scene of the security intervention, before he was apprehended by police elements, explained the DGSN.

 This security intervention was filmed by his sister, before publishing parts of it on instant messaging applications and social networks, added the same source.

 The suspect was taken into custody while his father was subjected to a judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office to determine the ins and outs of these criminal acts, the statement concluded.
