The baccalaureate examinations will be maintained, namely the national exams of the second year of the baccalaureate to be held in July and the regional exams of the first year of the baccalaureate to be held in September, Amzazi said at the weekly session of the House of Advisors.
Answering a question on "the results of remote education and the prospects of the end of the school year", the minister noted that in order to ensure equal opportunities for all students, it has been decided that the examination subjects will only relate to courses given before the suspension of classes (March 14, 2020).
In addition, intensive remote courses will be scheduled to ensure good preparation for the first and second year of the baccalaureate and thus allow candidates to take these exams in the best possibe conditions, Amzazi pointed out.
In this regard, the ministry will work to implement health measures to safeguard the health of students, educational, administrative and organizational staff and ensure the smooth running of these examinations, he added.
According to the minister, this mainly involves sterilizing educational establishments several times a day, providing protective masks, disinfectant products and temperature measurement materials, ensuring respect of social distancing by reducing the number of candidates in each class, using very large classes or spaces such as sports facilities and ensuring the accommodation, food and transportation for the candidates.
Concerning the other school levels, the marks of the continuous control will be taken into consideration, he underlined, noting that the ministry will also pursue pedagogical continuity, until the end of the school year, in order to complete the programs and ensure the continuity of the "remote learning" process, through the various digital platforms, television channels and brochures which will be distributed to primary school pupils in rural areas.
Amzazi also noted that the school year has not yet ended and that the remaining program is of particular importance in the student's academic curriculum, noting that the ministry will organize during the month of September catch-up sessions in order to reinforce the pupils' skills and allow them to continue their education in the best conditions.
The minister called on students and their families, as well as the educational and administrative staff, to continue their efforts and show responsibility and seriousness during this last phase.
