For the countries of the South, in particular emerging countries, and in the opinion of many observers, Morocco has all the assets to be able to take advantage of this transition, which some consider as inevitable, wrote Chabbar in a column on "COVID-19: Lessons from a crisis and opportunities for emerging countries", published in Mauritanian weekly "Le Calame".
He noted that the recent initiative, taken by HM King Mohammed VI, towards certain brotherly African countries, relating to the sharing of good practices in the management of this pandemic, reflects not only the Moroccan response to this health crisis hailed by everyone, but, above all, the country's capacity to play a leading role and to successfully reposition itself in the post-crisis world.
The diplomat said that Morocco seems to be qualified to reposition itself during the upcoming transition, especially since, under the leadership of the Sovereign, a new development model is under way.
"This is the ideal opportunity to integrate the lessons learned from this crisis," he insisted, deeming that the implementation of this new development model would require the reconsideration of certain priorities.
