Security services had detected, using surveillance cameras located in several districts of the city, a group of road users who, by night, violated health emergency rules and voluntarily drove their cars and large motorcycles dangerously and in a spectacular way, National Security (DGSN) said Thursday in a statement.

These drivers were endangering the safety of people and property, which required the intervention of security services for their arrest and the seizure of the vehicles they were driving, the source added.

Security operations thus led to the seizure of 7 cars and 26 large motorcycles, it said, adding that the drivers arrested were placed on custody as part of investigations led by the competent public prosecutor's office.
