The association aims to promote SDGs in Morocco by identifying solutions adaptable to all regions of the Kingdom in order to achieve the 17 Goals by 2030, added the same source, noting that Azenague will be responsible for monitoring goal 5 of sustainable development (SDG5) which aims to achieve gender equality.
The United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth is the UN General Assembly-mandated, official, formal and self-organised mechanism for young people to meaningfully engage in the UN.
The Group acts as a bridge between young people and the UN system in order to ensure that their right to meaningful participation is realized, by engaging formal and informal communities of young people, in the design, implementation, monitoring, follow-up, and review of sustainable development policies at all levels, the statement said.
