Marrakech-Safi Region/Covid-19: 43 New Recoveries, Only One New Confirmed Case

Marrakech - A total of 43 new recoveries have been reported in the Marrakech-Safi region, bringing to 1,186 the number of people declared definitively cured in the region until Wednesday at 10:00 am.

A report by the Regional Directorate of Health (DRS) showed that all these new recoveries have been recorded in the prefecture of Marrakech.

The total number of cured cases is broken down between the prefecture of Marrakech (873) and the provinces of Rehamna (231), Al Haouz (49), Chichaoua (23), El Kelâa des Sraghna (04), Essaouira (04) and Safi (02), indicated the same source, stating that the recovery rate stands at 89.3%.

In addition, the DRS noted that only one new case of Covid-19 infection has been detected, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the region since the outbreak of the pandemic to 1,328.

Also, 94 patients are currently under treatment, distributed between the prefecture of Marrakech (89) and the provinces of Safi (3 detected in the region of Casablanca-Settat), Al Haouz (01) and Chichaoua (1), according to the same source.

The number of cases excluded after negative laboratory results reached 15,042, while the number of deaths stood at 51, said the Regional Health Directorate.
