"What has been published on the aforementioned website is a slander," said the ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Morocco, Ezzeddine Al-Asbahi, in a statement, noting that his country's ambassador to Malaysia denied "having made such a statement and said that he did not even know this website".
On this occasion, Al-Asbahi highlighted the solidity of Yemeni-Moroccan relations, adding that his country respects the principle of the preservation of unity and stability of the Ummah, as shown by Yemen's clear stance regarding the moroccanity of the Sahara and the territorial integrity of Morocco.
"The initiative of the Kingdom of Morocco regarding the Moroccan Sahara is a positive initiative emanating from an advanced vision which strengthens stability in the region, promotes respect for diversity and contributes to the preservation of national unity and peace," the diplomat pointed out.
For his part, the Yemeni ambassador to Malaysia confirmed his denunciation of the allegations reported by the aforementioned website, affirming his condemnation of "these lies and slanders, which I do not find in any way strange to those who want to break the unity of the Ummah by creating such untruths."
"We are and we remain in favor of the moroccanity of the Sahara and the territorial integrity of the Kingdom," he underlined.
