In a press release, the Foundation said that it has organized numerous activities in this context for the benefit of this category, in accordance with the precautionary measures decreed by the authorities of the Kingdom to face the pandemic of the new coronavirus.
The most important of these activities include the Ramadan basket for the benefit of 13,591 poor, disabled religious attendants and their widows and solidarity campaigns in the form of in-kind and cash assistance which have benefited 15,593 religious attendants, it added.
These activities also consisted of the organization of Quranic ceremonies via social media platforms, a cultural and fun competition for the benefit of the children of religious attendants as well as financial aid for Eid al Fitr for the benefit of 2,781 underprivileged attendants and their widows, said the Foundation.
The Foundation has paid exceptional attention to the situation of religious attendants unable to perform their duties by paying the invalidity allowance for their benefit for the months of March, April and May in advance, the press release concluded.
