This solidarity action, which mainly involved food aid, vouchers and direct financial support, was initiated on the occasion of the month of Ramadan to support these Moroccans so that they could overcome the consequences of the crisis caused by Covid-19.
In coordination with the services of the Consulate general of the Kingdom, the associative fabric of Moroccans living in Tunisia has also initiated a medical follow-up program for the benefit of Moroccans stranded in Tunisia due to the suspension of flights between the two countries as part of measures to stem the spread of the new Coronavirus.
In this regard, the Kingdom's ambassador to Tunisia, Hassan Tariq, praised the various solidarity initiatives launched in recent weeks by the Moroccan associative fabric for the benefit of a large section of the Moroccan community, which embody the virtues of fraternity and cooperation and enshrine the values of volunteerism and solidarity.
The diplomat also said he is "grateful" for the efforts made by the officials and members of the associations involved in this solidarity and social initiative, as well as all those who have supported and supervised this action.
