Speaking during the weekly oral question session at the House of Advisors, Bourita pointed out that although return flights are organized by the embassies of foreign countries, the ministry of Foreign Affairs has set up a cell to receive requests from the persons concerned.
Contacts are being established with embassies in order to give priority to Moroccans stranded internally, he added, highlighting as an example the case of Italy, which is preparing to mobilize a ferry for this purpose.
In addition, Bourita stressed that the repatriation operation is being carried out gradually, noting that after Algeria, it will be the turn of Moroccan nationals residing in Spain to benefit from it within the next 48 hours.
There is a clear vision that the focus is first on the regions where categories living in precarious conditions are concentrated such as the occupied cities of Sebta and Mellilia, said the minister, who drew attention to the case of Moroccan women workers on farms in Spain.
In this context, Morocco has decided to place returnees in compulsory sanitary isolation, the official noted, saying that this is a sovereign choice.
