"To meet the appropriate conditions for a gradual lifting of these measures, the resumption of activities in all sectors and the return to normal life, I again invite all citizens to respect more the quarantine restrictions and the health and preventive measures," the minister told MAP.
He noted that as part of the progressive approach adopted in the implementation of this plan, the monitoring and follow-up committees set up at the level of each prefecture and province, placed under the authority of the walis and the governors, will carry out a weekly assessment of the local epidemiological situation and take the necessary measures to ease the restrictions related to the quarantine or increase them.
The results of this assessment will make it possible to reclassify the prefectures and provinces, either in zone 1 instead of zone 2, or vice versa, but also to promote greater easing of quarantine measures and, as a result, the lifting of restrictions on many services and activities.
"Such an approach will allow us to move on to the second phase, marked by the opening of domestic tourism, the authorization of certain gatherings with a limited number of people, the resumption under conditions of cultural and sport activities and the authorization of inter-regional and inter-cities travel..," he said.
The Minister also discussed the measures adopted in the two zones, recalling that for zone N1, citizens who reside there were allowed, as of Thursday, June 11, to go out without the need for an exceptional authorization to move to within the territorial perimeter of the prefecture or the province, and to move within the region of residence classified in zone 1 without obligation to have authorizations for this purpose. He noted that these citizens only need to show the Electronic Identity Card and can have access to hair and beauty salons, which are required to use 50% of their accommodation capacity.
Citizens residing in zone 1 are also authorized to have access to open-air public spaces (parks, gardens..) and to resume individual sports activities outdoors.
Regarding the zone N2, which represents 87% of the confirmed cases since the outbreak of the pandemic, Amzazi affirmed that it is always necessary to have an exceptional authorization for movement when necessary during the day or the night, knowing that the opening hours of shops have been extended to 8 p.m.
