"Allow me to express, on behalf of HM King Mswati III, HM the Queen Mother and the entire nation of Eswatini, our gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI and the people of the great Kingdom of Morocco for the aid that we are receiving today," said Dlamini at a ceremony held to receive the Moroccan medical aid sent to his country.
The official said he was honored to receive the medical aid sent by Morocco, stressing that it was "a strong gesture of African solidarity".
The aid is timely as the Kingdom of Eswatini steps up efforts to fight against the Coronavirus pandemic, he pointed out, while underlining the importance of the Moroccan aid.
The Moroccan aid shows the excellent relations which link the two Kingdoms, he said.
"This is a great opportunity for all of us to commend the long-standing leadership of HM King Mohammed VI in the African continent and beyond", he stressed.
The Moroccan medical aid sent to the Kingdom of Eswatini, as part of aids granted following the high instructions of HM King Mohammed VI to several African countries to support them in their efforts to fight against the coronavirus pandemic, arrived Thursday at Mbabane international airport.
The aid was received by Mr. Dlamini on behalf of King Mswati III.
The Moroccan aid sent to several African countries is intended to provide protective medical equipment to support these countries in their efforts to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The medical aid sent to these countries includes some 8 million medical masks, 900,000 protective visors, 600,000 hygiene caps, 60,000 medical gowns, 30,000 liters of hydroalcoholic gel, 75,000 boxes of chloroquine and 15,000 boxes of Azithromycin.
This solidarity action is part of the implementation of the Initiative launched by HM the King on April 13, 2020, as a pragmatic and action-oriented approach, intended to the brotherly African countries, enabling the sharing of experiences and good practices and aiming to establish an operational framework in order to support their efforts in the various phases of the management of the pandemic.
