This is the second group of Moroccans stranded in Turkey to be repatriated after the arrival of a first group of 313 people on Wednesday evening aboard three planes. These repatriation operations will continue in the coming days.

Upon their arrival, the beneficiaries of this repatriation operation changed their protective masks, disinfected their hands, and their temperature was measured using thermal cameras, the airport’s director, Hassan Limouni, told MAP.

All formalities were carried out smoothly while observing social distancing and all the precautionary measures, he pointed out.

The beneficiaries voiced on this occasion their happiness to be back in Morocco, expressing their thanks to HM King Mohammed VI for this initiative.

The repatriated group was taken to hotel establishments, where COVID-19 tests were conducted. They will be quarantined according to the health protocol in force.

All repatriation operations follow the same health protocol, with COVID-19 tests at the arrival and a 9-day quarantine period as part of the necessary medical follow-up, the aim is to ensure that these people do not represent a danger to themselves and their family members.
