In a statement, the ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs said that the royal Commission in charge of the pilgrimage met and decided to reimburse the expenses of the hajj previously deposited in the Al Barid Bank agencies.
The ministry also called on the citizens concerned to go to any of the Al Barid Bank agencies during this period, carrying their national identity cards, in full compliance with the rules and conditions in force under the state of health emergency and preventive and precautionary measures.
The Commission also decided to maintain for the 1442 season of the hegira (2021) the results of the draw of the 1441 season of the hegira (2020), stressed the statement.
The royal Commission in charge of the pilgrimage will meet at the end of the year, added the same source, noting that the payment of the expenses of the next Hajj will be made within the period to be announced, to affirm the constant willingness to perform this ritual.
These decisions come on the basis of the statement issued by the Saudi authorities on Monday, in which it was decided - in the circumstances of the spread of the epidemic and in accordance with the precepts of Islam aimed at preserving human life - to perform the Hajj ritual in a healthy manner with a very limited number of Saudi citizens and nationals in Saudi Arabia representing all nationalities.
