These are 988 projects with a budget of nearly 40 billion dirhams that concern road infrastructure (472 projects), ports (29), motorways (89), railway (45), dams (14) and construction (337), Amara said at the House of Advisors (upper house).
According to the minister, these projects have a direct impact on investment, employment and economic activity.
The minister also highlighted the negative repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic on the transport sector.
In this regard, he stressed that the emphasis had been placed on the establishment of specifications for transport companies and those responsible for basic infrastructure, in particular bus stations.
The official recalled the resumption of activities relating to mixed transport and the transport of personnel, then the gradual resumption of the activities of public passenger transport through coaches and tourist transport vehicles, from Thursday 25 June.
Referring to the hydraulic sector, Amara said that, given its vital importance, all the sites continued to operate normally.
