3.3-Magnitude Tremor Shakes Midelt Province

Rabat - A 3.3-magnitude quake on the Richter scale was felt on Friday in the province of Midelt, the National Institute for Geophysics (ING) said.

The quake, whose epicentre is located in the  Zaouiat Sidi Hamza commune, was recorded at 11.03 p.m. (GMT+1), the National Earthquake Surveillance and Alert Network, under the said institute, noted in a seismic alert bulletin.

The quake occurred at a depth of 2 km, a 32,498°N latitude and a 4,694°W longitude, the same source added.
