The suspect was arrested at a checkpoint in the city of Errachidia in possession of 738 kilograms of cannabis resin, National Police (DGSN) said in a statement. 

The man was placed on custody, while investigations are underway under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, the source added.

This operation is part of efforts made by national security services to fight against all forms of cross-border crimes, particularly international drug trafficking networks.
