"While 81% of companies that have reduced their workforce deem that they have recovered all or part of their staff, only 44% said they have been able to reintegrate all of them since the quarantine was lifted. This proportion is almost the same by category of company", said the HCP in a note on the resumption of business activities following the lifting of quarantine imposed by the health crisis linked to the pandemic of the new coronavirus (covid-19).
By branch of activity, this proportion reached 64% in the chemical and parachemical industries, 56% in the textile industries and 41% in the metal and mechanical industries, while a third of accommodation and catering companies have recovered the totality of their employees, specified the same source.
In addition, the HCP indicated that the unqualified workforce is paying the price of the health crisis since 56% of companies say they cannot recover such profiles. This proportion is more marked in the construction and industry sectors with 74% and 67% respectively.
The recovery of jobs lost following the crisis, according to the companies, requires the establishment of a set of support actions, it added, noting that 71% of business owners would like to reduce taxes and 64% wish to suspend social contributions and their coverage by the State.
For 61% of business owners, the return to normal employment would take place before the end of the year.
