The turnover generated by the travellers activity stands at 409 million dirhams, down by 43% compared to the end of June 2019, ONCF said in release.
"The Covid-19 health crisis has had a significant impact on mobility in general and on the railway offer in particular, lowering the turnover generated by the passenger activity mainly and to a lesser extent the freight traffic related to the transport of products whose sectors are shut down,” the Office pointed out.
The Freight activity excluding phosphate generated revenues of 251 million DH at the end of June, down by 3% compared to the same period last year, corresponding to a transport volume of 4 million tonnes of various goods.
Receipts from the transport of phosphates amounted to 632 million DH during the first half of the year, down by 4% compared to the end of June 2019, corresponding to a 7.9 million tonnes.
