Presented by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, the text aims to implement the provisions of Organic Law No. 16.26 setting the stages for the implementation of the official aspect of the Amazigh language and the modalities of its integration into education and into the various priority sectors of public life, in particular Article 34, which stipulates that "a standing ministerial commission is created with the Head of Government in charge of monitoring, evaluating and activating the official aspect of the Amazigh language and that an organic text sets its composition and the modalities of its functioning", said the Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific research, government spokesman Saaid Amzazi, in a press release read at a press briefing after the Council.
He added that this draft decree sets out the missions of the Commission in the examination of action plans and sectoral programs linked to the implementation of the official aspect of the Amazigh language, while ensuring the convergence of public policies, as well as the monitoring and evaluation of their deployment within the set time, and the examination and approval of the annual summary report.
The draft decree also entrusts the Head of Government with the presidency of the said Commission, which is composed of governmental authorities concerned by the activation of the official aspect of the Amazigh, underlined the minister, noting that the text also stipulates the participation of the national council for Moroccan language and culture, the Higher Council for Education, Training and Scientific Research at the first meeting of each year, devoted to the review of action plans and sectoral programs related to the implementation of the official aspect of the Amazigh language.
