This new figure brings to 72,394 the number of contaminations in the Kingdom since the first case reported on March 2 and to 55,274 that of fully recovered people, a recovery rate of 76.4%, the ministry said in its daily report.
The death toll rose to 1,361 with 32 new deaths registered in the past 24 hours, according to the same source.
These deaths are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (12), Fez-Meknes (06), Marrakech-Safi (5), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (03), Darâa-Tafilalet (03), Souss-Massa (02) and Beni Mellal-Khénifra (01).
The new cases are distributed between the regions of Casablanca-Settat (948, including 773 in the city of Casablanca), Darâa-Tafilalet (287), Marrakech-Safi (228), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (165), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (130), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (118), Souss-Massa (109), Fez-Meknès (94), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (87), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (38), Guelmim-Oued Noun (17) and the eastern region (13).
The number of excluded cases amounts to 1,997,659, after 21,323 new cases were found to be negative.
The active cases reached the number of 15,759, with a prevalence of 43.4/100,000 inhabitants. Regarding severe or critical cases, there are 201, including 33 intubated people.
The cumulative incidence rate is 199.4/100,000 inhabitants, against an incidence of 24 hours established at 6.2/100,000 inhabitants. The case fatality rate is 1.9%.
