In a statement to MAP, the provincial director of health in Khénifra Idriss Ghazali affirmed that the efforts to fight the pandemic of the new coronavirus allowed to increase the bed capacity, and to foster and modernize the medical and technical equipment thanks to the contribution of the ministry in charge, noting that 10 intensive care beds and 10 modular installations have been offered by the ministry as part of the efforts to fight the Covid-19 epidemic.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic and in accordance with the recommendations of the Provincial Coordination Division (PCP), significant efforts have been made to rehabilitate all the establishments and health facilities in the province to be able to accommodate patients in better conditions and to enable them to obtain the necessary treatments, while ensuring the health of the nursing staff.
Faced since Aid Al-Adha with a surge in cases of Covid-19 infection, the Provincial Hospital Center (CHP) of Khenifra has welcomed a large majority of patients requiring hospital quarantine or resuscitation in the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region.
The development works of the Béni Mellal field hospital have started, as part of the strengthening of health services to face the pandemic of the new coronavirus.
With a capacity of 100 beds, this field hospital, which will be located inside the site of the Beni Mellal regional hospital, aims to alleviate the pressure on the Covid-19 ward at the hospital center, given the worsening of the epidemiological situation over the past month.
