These operations targeted two warehouses belonging to the same company. In the first warehouse, 26,495 bottles of expired beer were seized as well as 1,592 bottles bearing customs stamps not showing the actual countenance capacity or concentration of alcohol, the same source added.
In the second warehouse, which did not have the necessary authorizations and which was operated illegally, the committee seized 2,782 bottles with no labels, 19,978 bottles with labels not showing their actual countenance capacity or concentration of alcohol, 11,161 bottles bearing old customs' stamps dating back to 2010 and 1,098 bottles bearing stamps dating from the period between 2011 and 2013, the police added.
At the end of these operations, the managers of these warehouses were subjected to preliminary investigations under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office to determine the scope of their involvement in these infractions and criminal acts, the DGSN concluded.
