The Provincial Coordination Post (PCP) in charge of managing the Covid-19 pandemic has decided to restrict all movements to and from the neighborhoods of Al Fath, Assaka and Raouda, except for people with an exceptional travel authorization issued by the competent local authorities, according to a press release from the prefecture of the Khenifra province.
It was also decided to temporarily adopt remote education in all the schools located in these neighborhoods, the same source added.
The local authorities also decided to ban all travel to and from the towns of Khenifra and M'rirt, except for the sectors of goods, basic products and services transportation, movement due to professional nature or justified by an extreme necessity, as well as trips for humanitarian reasons or related to the start of the school year for pupils and students.
The PCP suspended public transport linking the cities of Khenifra and M'rirt and linking the two communes to other cities in the province, to close the cafes and restaurants of the two cities at 09:00 p.m., to prohibit all access to green areas and public spaces beyond 09:00 p.m. and to close the weekly Ahtab souk in the city of Khenifra as well as the cattle souks of the two cities.
The same source specified that it was was also decided to ban all commercial activity other than the sale of vegetables and fruits in the weekly Souk of M'rirt in addition to the closure of markets and shops at 5:00 p.m. and the ban on broadcasting football matches in cafes for both cities.
