The six schools are located in the neighborhoods of Al Fath, Assaka and Raouda, where local authority decided to implement a travel ban due to the surge of the number of Covid-19 cases and related deaths, the Provincial Directorate of National Education said in a press release.

This decision aims to preserve the health of learners and of the administrative and educational body, the same source added, stressing that it also aims to to guarantee the pupils' constitutional right to education and equal opportunities. 

The local authorities of the province of Khenifra have decided to ban all travel to and from the towns of Khenifra and M'rirt, except for the sectors of goods, basic products and services transportation, movement due to professional nature or justified by an extreme necessity, as well as trips for humanitarian reasons or related to the start of the school year for pupils and students.
